TAKING CARE OF A CAT

Animals, even dogs and cats, are usually not friendly to me. They often ignore me, which makes me really sad. However, when a friend of mine asked me to take care of her cat for a month, I decided to give myself a try. I'm happy that I have accepted her request since Mo -her cat- is totally a lovely pet. He is lazy, but never ignores me when I'm around.

HANDMADE ITEMS

I love making handmade items. They do not require professional skills or expensive materials. The most important material to create any handmade product is just creativity. To me, being free with my ideas is one way to relax after work. A completed handmade item could even save a bad day.

MUSIC IS MY OXYGEN

There are many languages in the world, but I believe that music is our common one. If we can not live without breathing, music is my oxygen. I play music with my guitar. I have practiced it for more than a year. Although I'm not really good at playing guitar, I have composed several songs for my loved ones.

A FINNISH BENCH

I participated in an international startup event in Tokyo last month as a Construction volunteer. We built a lot of items for the event. However, the Finnish bench impressed me most. It was shipped from Finland by one of our Finnish volunteers. It is not only what we can sit on but it also represents the diversity and unity of today's global community.

HOME SWEET HOME

Which is the greatest moment of the day? To me, it is when I'm finally home after a long day outside. I could wear the pajama I like and lie on my lovely bed. I could watch a movie that I always want to watch or continue reading my book. "Home", the sweetest, greatest word in the world.

VIETNAMESE CINEMAS

If you have ever been to Vietnam, you must already know that things in Vietnam are way cheaper than theirs in Japan. Watching a movie in the theater only costs you ¥600 for a 2D ticket, a M-sized popcorn and a L-sized drink. The best part of Vietnamese cinemas is their service. You could still experience a big screen with good sound and comfortable seats with such a cheap price. That is why I used to go to the cinema almost twice every month.

Roppongi Hills

I visited Roppongi Hills last week. It was a really great place. The sky view was fantastic. It not only attracts tourists but also attracts a lot of Japanese. I also visited Mori Art Museum, one of the most famous museums in Tokyo.

Camp fire

I love campfire. It's when people gather and have fun together. Dancing around the campfire is really fun and relaxing. It's also warm to stand near the fire. I have had a lot of campfire dancing in my life, but I never get bored of it.

Feels like a dream..

Hi all! I’m Felicia, a new staff in EigoTalkTalk. I’ve just arrived in Japan last March, and right now I’m studying in Jochi Daigaku/Sophia University. Before I arrived here, I’ve always wanted to try and live here, and now I’m here. Dream come true, I guess? But to be honest, because of all that hoping and dreaming, I haven’t really fully grasped that I’m here already, I’m working, I’m studying, I’m breathing Japan’s air. I feel like this past month has been like a dream, and I’m not really here, I’m not really on the ground. Maybe because Japan is a dream that I don’t want to wake up from.

The point is, I’m really loving my experience so far. Sorry for quite a somber note, it’s just how I’ve been feeling this past few weeks. I hope some of you has the same feeling as I do, so please do comment down below! That’s all for this time, I’ll see you next time with a happier post. I hope we can meet each other in an EigoTalkTalk session!
