Winter Dusk →

Yesterday, when I was walking home from school, I saw the sky was very clear and beautiful in Nakano area. I took a photo of it with my phone, and fortunately, in turned out to be amazing. Since it’s entering winter, the dusk starts at around 4 to 5 PM, in which it usually starts around 6 in summer. Not only that I was able to see the sunset, the sky was also very clear that the unique shapes of clouds were enjoyable. Walking doesn’t feel tiring at all if you have a good time like this, especially also because the wind is refreshing.

Christmas time

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. It feels so festive already here in Japan, even though December has just started. Streets are filled with lights. Stores has started displaying holiday gifts. Christmas songs could be heard in many cafes and restaurants. This year, I am spending my Christmas with my friends in Fukuoka. Winter break, please come quickly! A trip is all I want right now.

Winter is Coming!

Autumn has passed, and winter is coming! Prepare yourself because it’s going to be a really cold weather in Japan. Also, I am very excited since there’s a chance that it’s going to snow in Tokyo! Snow is a really rare phenomenon that you‘re able to spot in Tokyo. In fact, it does not happen every year. People in Japan always prepare their staple “winter-pack” before winter, including hot pocket (kairo), scarf, thick clothes, even face mask. You don’t want to breathe cold air don’t you? Make sure you are always in a healthy condition, because during these times people often get fragile and get sick easily, especially catching a cold. Let’s have some fun during winter times!

Yesterday, I went to Baskin Robbins after a long time. They were doing a collaboration with Frozen 2, a Disney movie that just came out a few days ago. There were various special collaboration and seasonal flavors and we had a hard time choosing which one to try. I ended up buying the “Magical Mint Night” one, which has the flavor of dark chocolate and mint, sprinkled with colorful popping candy. The taste was indeed, very magical. Not only the flavor that is satisfying, the appearance itself is unique, resembling a galaxy. The photo might not really do justice but it is worth trying.

Hi guys! This is Mandu speaking. What is your favorite season among the four seasons? Mine is winter. This is because I love Christmas day so much; there are so many things I can do on Christmas, including preparing presents for my family and friends, writing letters for the Santa Claus, and cooking with my mother for Christmas parties. Moreover, I love winter because I really enjoy playing with snow. I can spend a whole day going skiing with my friends and making a snowman.

Although some people do not like winter because it is really cold sometimes, I just love every winter breeze so much that bearing the coldness is no longer a problem. I hope that one day I can walking on a frozen lake, because that sounds pretty fun!

I experienced winter in Japan twice! I wish I could find a job here so I can enjoy the winter in Japan every year!
